Dolomite is used as an additive agent in the production of glass, bricks, ceramics etc. Addition of which gives a high level of process stability, good viscosity and scratch resistance in glass. In bricks, dolomite is used as a source of magnesium metal and magnesia (MgO) which gives high refractoriness in the bricks. Raw glazes applied on the ceramic bodies consists of dolomite as well and hence it serves ceramic industry as well.
